New Fall Soap: Spiced Pumpkin Lager Soap

I'm super excited to share with you our first ever pumpkin soap. This soap really soaped like a dream. No acceleration, no ricing. I was able to do a little of the hanger swirl technique as well as add a few colors. Needless to say, I was really pleased.

The most challenging part of this was creation was the pumpkin color. I literally had to use my graphic design knack for color schemes and combine the appropriate hues to create the pumpkin. It worked.

The scent boasts the smell of tasty pumpkin blended with fall spices, enhanced with a unique twist of amber. So, I believe the next challenge will be to do these soaps again to look as similar as the original. This fragrance and soap combination is definitely one we will be bringing back!

Our new Spiced Pumpkin Lager soap will be available on 12/22 right before Christmas. It will make a wonderful gift for someone who adorns yummy scents.

New Soap: "China Love" is revealed!

Yummy. Yummy. Yum. Our newest soapy creation will be exclusively revealed at the Get Elevated Women's Conference in Arizona in just one day.

I'm so excited to hear of everyone's reaction when they see and try them. I'll be stalking their facebook page and twitter page as well. :)

Well, I'm sure you're wondering about the "China Love" story. Simply put, Kissed by Koco's products were invited to be in the Swag Bags of the ladies in attendance at the conference. The producers, Yetta Young of YYP Productions and Butterfly Confessions and Felicia Davis of Felicia Davis International, thought it would be fab if we could be sponsors. Long story short, we agreed and the mysterious and luscious "China Love" soap was born.

She's caused a LOT OF MESS (as you can see) but was definitely worth all of it. I scented her with a lovely Cherry Almond and Spearmint fragrance and essential oil blend. I FELL IN LOVE! You'd never guess what the best part is. Not only is her scent to die for, she was also made with Activated Charcoal which is the best for detoxing your skin. :) Definitely 2 in 1!

She came out exactly as I'd hoped and even more than I'd hoped. If you go to our website, you will notice that's she'd not there yet. I will be remaking her again by the end of the month for both our Authorized Retailers here in Atlanta/Douglasville and our Online Store. Yippee!! I truly can not wait to share this beauty bar with you. Be sure to go on to our website and join our mailing list to find out exactly when she'll be available on our site. Until then, thanks for being apart of our community. ~ Michelle

No Time for Planned Perfection: Making "Dancing Sugarplums" soap!

The funny thing and I must say annoying thing about soaping is that though you plan everything out to the tee, it truly doesn't promise "everything" to turn out the way you plan. Even though it's unfortunate, it could actually be a good thing as well.

So, a few weeks ago I set out to create a fantastic new soap called "Lavender Breeze". Needless to say, once I added the colorant in a desperate attempt to create a beautiful lavender/purple hue, I achieved my goal. HOWEVER, nature, gravity or science took over and it turned out pink. **Birds Chirping**

How in the world do you go from purple to pink???

In the picture above, it was actually a beautiful purple color. I put it in the oven shortly after taking this picture. I went through the normally "CPOP/Cold-process/Oven-process" method. I removed the soap from the oven and placed in on my table to complete it's gel phase and hardening. The next day, I removed the soap from the molds and low and behold it was pink.

I had two choices once the bars came out as I explained on my Youtube cutting video...
1) If the color remains pink, I will then call it "Dancing Sugarplums".
2) If it turns back to a purple color I will name it Lavender Breeze.

Well, after 3 1/2 weeks of curing time, it's still pink. So, Dancing Sugarplums it is. I'm quite happy as well.
